Volunteers are an integral part of the Rosetta Arts family. Working alongside staff and resident artists, we have different ways to get involved according to your interests, skills and availability.
People volunteer for many different reasons, you may be retired or taking some time between employment, want to learn different skills or meet new people. Whatever your circumstances, you’ll get a warm welcome at Rosetta.
“The work experience gained through my internship at Rosetta was invaluable. I learned so much and it helped me secure a traineeship as Community Engagement Officer at the British Library.” Amber Perrier
Types of volunteering opportunity
On-going roles
These roles are suited to people who can be available on a regular basis. They are available in the following areas: exhibition tech, community engagement and administration.
Student ambassadors
This is an opportunity for past and present student who wish to be directly involved in the development of the learning Rosetta provides. The role includes course representation, pitching ideas for exhibitions and initiating visits to galleries and museums.
3-month internships
Working 1-3 days a week (weekdays only), interns work alongside staff in administration, exhibitions, communications, community engagement and learning. Some of these roles require specific skills and experience and are useful for students and graduates developing a career in museums and cultural attractions, learning or digital fields. There are also opportunities for those with little or no experience. There is no programme or set timetable for these internships; but we do often work with universities to align with term schedules.
