Introduction to pottery

Newham Heritage Centre Roadshow

Join this workshop to find out more about the Newham Heritage Centre project, share your ideas and shape the heritage centre’s future! You’ll learn about Newham’s rich history, showcasing some highlights from the borough’s archive and collections. You’ll then engage in some creative activities to explore your feelings about Newham, which stories you think best represent the borough and what you would want from the centre.

Gardener Callout

Are you an experienced gardener who loves sharing your knowledge and inspiring others? We’re looking for a skilled facilitator to lead our Urban Gardening Project, working with primary school children and elderly participants to teach them the joys of gardening.

Paid Residency: Newham Heritage Month

Inviting artists and creative practitioners to apply to be part of an artist-in-residency programme this Spring/Summer.
This will be part of a Newham Heritage Month project, which focuses on the history of Alice Billing House. The artist will facilitate artistic responses to this theme, with a focus on the last 60 years.

Heritage Centre   Space Hire Survey

The Canning Town Old Library is becoming a vibrant Heritage Centre, celebrating Newham’s rich history. Local planners are also exploring how this space can support local businesses. Entrepreneurs, SMEs, and non-profits are invited to share their thoughts on how they might use the flexible spaces and facilities. Participate in a quick survey and help shape this incredible community asset.
