Calling ages 10 – 18 in Newham! Take part in our summer community art project 2021

Do you enjoy being creative? Want to explore your borough in a different way? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to rediscover your community through art and nature!

Join us for the 2021 summer project on the theme ‘Bird’s Eye View’.

Over a period of three weeks you will be invited to:

  • Work as a team with other young people led by community artist Annie Birch
  • Go on guided ‘wild tours’ in Newham including a sensory ‘forest bathing’ walk and treasure hunt!
  • Learn about art, illustration and storytelling linked to landscapes and nature
  • Explore photography within a natural and urban landscape
  • Learn new artistic skills and ways of expressing yourself, and work together in small groups
  • Research, read and write
