Introduction to Clay Jewellery

In this 5 week introductory clay jewellery course learners will be taught different decorative and hand building techniques in order to create clay beads, pendants and brooches. You will be supported to create different forms. You will also gain an understanding of how to use glazes to decorate your pieces. 

Please note: Although this is not a qualification course you will be required to take photos of your work and reflect on what you have learnt on this course 

By the end of the course you will be able to: 

  • Use different hand building techniques to design and make clay pendants, beads and brooches
  • Demonstrate knowledge in studio health and safety 
  • Apply glazes using different application techniques 
  • Use different pottery decorative techniques 
  • Use glazes safely in the studio

Ideal for

This course is ideal for complete beginners and adults wanting to explore clay jewellery in a gentle learning environment with no prior skills required.
