Traces: Stories of Migration
- 7 weeks
- 10:00 am — 12:00 pm
Traces: Stories of Migration is a community arts project led by artist researcher Lucy Orta, exploring community migration stories from across the East London. Over 7-weekly workshops, we will share our stories and memories, learn new craft skills and make textile artworks. Each weekly session leads on from the last.
The work we make together will be exhibited in public exhibitions in 2023, at the Nunnery Gallery and at London College of Fashion’s new building on the Olympic Park.
You don’t need any experience to take part, but we also welcome experienced makers and artists. Traces is inclusive and open to everyone. Traces is delivered in collaboration with Rosetta Arts and Making for Change, a hub for social engagement at London College of Fashion. Around 50 local people will take part in Traces between June 2022 to February 2023.
