At Rosetta Arts, we change lives through creativity. But as a charity, we are increasingly relying on the generosity of donors so that we can keep on offering art opportunities to the diverse communities of Newham and wider east London.
So that’s where we need your support.
We are looking for artists – a mix of emerging and well-known – to donate a postcard artwork to our secret Christmas sale.
All funds raised from the sale will go towards the most vital areas of our work, helping us reach those who otherwise have little access to the rich and transformative benefits of the arts and education.
All funds raised from the sale will go towards the most vital areas of our work
Last year we received artwork donations from artists including Klaus Pinter, Eleanor Pearce and Lydia Thornbury. This year we want the sale to be bigger and better than ever.
Will you donate a postcard or postcard-sized artwork? If yes, thank you so much! Here are the steps you need to take:
- Write your name on the back of the postcard or artwork so that it won’t be visible while displayed
- Email us when your work is ready with the title of the work, the medium and a line of information about it
- Deliver or post your artwork to 27 Coolfin Road, London E16 3AW by 12pm on Friday 11 December
- If you can, let people know you have donated a work (but not which one!) by sharing on social media with the hashtag #RosettaSecretSale.
Key things to know
- The artworks will go on sale online on 14 December
- We will be thanking artists for donating postcards on social media BUT people won’t know the artist behind their artwork until they have purchased it
- Each postcard will be priced at £20 and all proceeds will go back into Rosetta Arts’ charitable work
- We intend to put every artwork we receive on sale, but we reserve the right to not sell or promote an artwork if it is deemed inappropriate for the sale.
If you have any questions, get in touch with us by email. Thanks so much for supporting Rosetta Arts.
