*** Deadline extended to 15 May ***
Are you an artist based in Newham or wider east London? Are you a champion of socially engaged practice?
Take your next step with Rosetta Arts’ brand new Artist Accelerator scheme.
Tell me more about the Artist Accelerator
Sixteen local creative practitioners skilled in collaborative and participatory arts will be drawn from Newham and neighbouring boroughs to join the innovative Rosetta Arts Accelerator programme.
They will each receive access to bursaries, mentoring and networks to strengthen their contribution to different local communities, providing creative responses to specific community needs. We particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates.
All local socially engaged practitioners, regardless of their circumstances, are encouraged to apply to this programme.
Funded by Get Living, Foundation for FutureLondon and Rosetta Arts, the creative practitioners will already have experience of working collaboratively with local people, using creativity to generate engagement and commitment, especially among people who have least contact with the arts.
Rosetta Arts will provide financial support for those practitioners who need it most, foster individuals’ personal development and enhance their future careers. All local socially engaged practitioners, regardless of their circumstances, are encouraged to apply to this programme.
What does the programme include?
- Own studio space in Rosetta Arts for 12 months
- Access to Rosetta Arts team as advisors
- 6 x 2 hours mentoring sessions with selected professional as mentor
- 3 MasterClasses on topics related to shared needs of selected practitioners
- Bursaries up to a maximum of £1800, to cover materials, travel and tech support
- Commission to work in a local community, designing and delivering 2 activities in the community, coached and mentored by Rosetta Arts practitioners
