How can creativity boost wellbeing and build resilience in young people?

Rosetta Arts has partnered with Newham’s Internally Commissioned Youth Service and Children’s Rights department on a programme bringing artists and youth workers together: Be Creative!

Funded by HeadStart Newham through The National Lottery Community Fund, we are promoting emotional resilience for children and young people in the borough through creative experiences.

What has happened so far?

The programme kicked-off with a art taster sessions in youth centres in April 2019 followed by a major Be Creative! event that provided hands-on creative workshops for over 100 young people who fed ideas into a programme for the rest of the year.  Summer sessions for 2020 in Doodle Op Art, Line Art, Drama for Health and Wellbeing, and Mindful Drawing have also been delivered online in light of the pandemic.
