The Young Makers Enterprise Programme for 13-18 year olds has been developed to ensure our homegrown talent are given early access to the skills, knowledge and opportunities to have flourishing careers in the arts and creative industries. With the increasing number of jobs and exponential growth of the creative and cultural sector in the local vicinity, offering this kind of access has never been so pertinent.
Key aspects of the programme includes:
- Bringing young people together to form peer groups and new friendships. By empowering and championing them we hope to turn dreams into achievable aims and goals
- Increase knowledge of the creative sector and enabling young people to learn new skills around art practices. Learning is then validated through accreditation and a portfolio of work that responds to current trends as well as their interests
- Inspiring young people to achieve and progress hobbies and interests in order to pursue their desired career.
We validate the quality principles achieved through accreditation. As a registered Centre for a number of awarding boards, including City & Guilds, NCFE, ABC Awards, Edexcel, OCR, Arts Awards, we select the most suitable for the programme and young person.
