Future of Fashion – Research Project

Dates: You can either attend Block 1: Thursdays 05/09, 12/09 & 19/09  or Block 2: Thursdays 10/10, 17/10 & 24/10
Time: 5pm – 7pm
For: Ages 12-16

Rosetta Arts invites young people aged 12-16 to participate in our three-part workshop series, “Future of Fashion – Research Project”. This programme is for anyone interested in exploring textile creation, sustainable fashion and innovative design solutions.

Led by experienced designer and researcher Aniela Fidler-Wieruszewska, participants will develop their creative skills while contributing to a meaningful project.

Creative Industries Festival @ UEL

Date: Friday 6th September
Time: 2-3:30pm
Location: Maker Space, Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, University Way, London, E16 2RD
For: Anyone with a passion for the Creative Industries
Cost: Free of charge

Join us at the University of East London during our free taster session. Unwind by creating nature-inspired mosaics, incorporating mindful techniques to enhance your wellbeing.
This workshop is part of UEL’s Creative Industries.

Community Mural Workshops

Date: Every Tuesday from September 24, 2024
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Location: Rosetta Arts , 1 Hamilton Road, West Ham, E15 3AE
For: All ages welcome
Cost: Free of charge

Rosetta Arts is launching an inspiring community mural project to empower Newham’s diverse communities, particularly younger residents aged 10-25 and those over 60. This creative initiative will address mental health and community resilience through five hands-on workshops, where participants collaboratively design and paint murals. Led by local artist Veronica Rowlands, the murals will serve as vibrant reminders of wellbeing while connecting residents to vital mental health resources like Good Thinking.

Watercolour Painting Course

East Bank SEEDED is a part-time, funded (£6k) residency programme for creatives and creative thinkers to explore and grow ideas relating to their socially-engaged practice, in partnership with an East Bank host organisation.

Selected pieces will be featured through our various channels throughout October 2024. Successful applicants will receive a fee of £150 and the chance to contribute to a significant project within the creative health field.

Making Tracks in London

GlastonAbbey

Dates: 21st September

Location: Bonny Downs Community Gardens

Glastonabbey will be a vibrant community event held on Saturday 21st September 2024 from 12-7pm at Bonny Downs Community Garden/Flanders Field. This event aims to raise funds for seven studio flats for homeless individuals in the borough (The Urban Abbey).The Urban Abbey is a joint partnership with J49 and Bonny Downs Baptist Church.

Glastonabbey will celebrate community spirit through music, art, food, and various activities.
