On July 12th, inside the Houses of Parliament, people from the borough of Newham congregated to celebrate the achievements of young people who had completed a series of workshops entitled, Shaping my Future – Democratic Engagement initiated by Minhaj ul Quran International (London).
A forum of speakers from across Newham’s community presented to the audience, including our own Chief Executive, Sanaz Amidi. Speaking about Rosetta’s aims, she sai:
We are opening up opportunities to people who don’t think creativity applies to them, who don’t think they have a role in the arts and creative industries.
Sanaz highlighted Rosetta’s work with Minhaj ul Quran International (London) through courses such as Islamic Art and Calligraphy commencing in September. By engaging with Muslim communities, particularly the younger people within them, we are able to provide access to institutions and resources.
