Our proposal to deliver free activities that support Green Spaces, Community Safety & Cleaner Environment has been shortlisted by the Green Street Community Assembly – but we need your votes to make our workshops for Newham residents a reality!
To vote for our Greening Green Street project, all you need to do is:
- Register now on the Newham co-create platform
- Select Green Street Community Assemblies (you can vote for our proposal here even if you don’t live in Green Street)
- Vote for our Greening Green Street project by Monday 26 July
Your vote is really important to us and will help decide which projects should receive a share of the £100,000 funding available to improve Newham.
A little more about our project:
We’ve proposed four key activities to support investing in Green Spaces, Community Safety & Cleaner Environment
- Community planting – “Living wall”– A series of workshops with the community to deliver a “living wall” at the back of Hamara Ghar.
- Greening Green St Workshops & Competition – 10 workshops for residents to learn various urban gardening skills and techniques. Plus a prize winning competition.
- Mindful Arts & Nature – We will create a free pack of materials that will encourage mindfulness practice and creativity through the theme of nature
You can find out more about each activity here.
We need as many votes as possible so please share the platform, including via social media, and encourage other residents, friends and family members in Newham to vote for our Greening Green Street project.
Thank you for your continued support!
