How we’re celebrating Newham Word Festival

Newham Word Festival is coming up and we can’t wait! On the 7th of July, to celebrate the day, we’re hosting a printmaking and poetry workshop!

This printmaking and poetry workshop, led by local artist Saana Amos, will explore the Olympic values of friendship, respect, excellence, equality, determination, inspiration and courage.

In her signature style of ‘Blackout Poetry’ Saana uses pages from books to create poems by blacking out text and highlighting words that resonate with her to create unique geometric style artwork. Participants will create visual representations of the Olympic Values using newspaper cuttings, articles, magazines and leaflets with an opportunity to print a design onto a tote bag.

A selection of the images produced during the workshop will be exhibited on Rosetta’s online gallery.

To book your space at the workshop, email trisha@rosettaarts.org.

Please note that this event will not be wheelchair accessible.
