Let’s keep connected: free poetry sessions with artist Sylvia Morgado

What are you grateful for? Join artist Sylvia Morgado on Wednesday 26 May at 5pm (online) and Saturday 5 June at 11am (in-person) and share what you’re thankful for as you create poetry and collages with up-cycled materials.

Create, interact and let the artist inside of you flourish in these free poetry, art and mindfulness workshops!

  • Register to attend the online workshop on Wednesday 26 May at 5pm here.
  • Register to attend the face-to face workshop at St Margaret’s House on Saturday 5 June here.

Sylvia says: “According to researchers from Harvard University, when you share things you’re grateful for with others, it can alleviate pain and contribute to improved feelings of wellness. Grateful people tend to take better care of themselves. And that’s all we need nowadays!

“This workshop is part of a series that I’m offering to organisations in East London as part of my participation in the Artist Accelerator scheme, funded by Get Living, Foundation for FutureLondon and Rosetta Arts, in which I’m one of the selected artists.”

Sylvia has enhanced DBS checks and this inclusive workshop welcomes adults and children aged 14+ . Please contact her with any accessibility questions or requirements.

The event may be recorded to create a collective video performance following the event for others to enjoy. Please let Sylvia know if you do not want to be included in the recording.
