International Womens Day Event

The East End Women’s Museum collaborated with The Guildhall school of Music and Drama to create a music piece with their female students. 11 students each composed a 3 minute piece of music, covering feminist topics such as Rebellion, Stereotypes and Rage.
They came to Rosetta Arts Centre to present their work to the public: a 3-woman strong brass band played each piece, accompanied by the students talking about their work. After the pieces were presented, they had a panel talk to discuss their process and to talk about what it’s like being female in the music industry.
Thanks to everyone who came, and keep your eyes peeled for the next Rosetta Presents event!
