Rosetta Presents

Rosetta Presents is a monthly project of recurring events, highlighting specific creatives and art forms. The events are a chance for the community (both artists and members of the public and the Rosetta Family) to network, explore, and discover the possibilities at Rosetta Arts.

Rosetta Presents: Fashion (November 2023)

For Rosetta’s 30th birthday we commissioned a photo montage of public artwork that celebrates the connection between Rosetta Arts and Alexander McQueen. This artwork was unveiled by Cllr Dasgupta. Key local fashion players attended such as London College of Fashion, Caramel Rock, Lab E20 to display works from our past collaborations.

Rosetta Presents: Local Makers (December 2023)

In December, Rosetta Arts was host to a local makers market. The hall was filled with 23 stalls, presenting local artists and creatives. A local musician played some winter songs, and the kids had a great time at the interactive craft table making winter cards and decorations.

Rosetta Presents: Rosetta Family (January 2024)

In February we hosted our very first Rosetta Family event, which was open to all those having worked with Rosetta before. The Rosetta Family event is an event to present a chance for Rosetta to listen to their community. We asked some questions and played some games to see what the next steps for Rosetta should be. If you would like to get involved in the Rosetta Family, please send an email to Sam@rosettaarts.org.

Rosetta Presents: Queer in Newham (February 2024)

Rosetta Presents x East End Womens Museum: A Feminist Dream (with a touch of rage) (April 2024)

A music event in collaboration with East End Women’s Museum and the Guildhall school of Music and Drama.
The East End Women’s Museum paired with The Guildhall school of Music and Drama, where 11 female students each composed a 3 minute piece of music, covering feminist topics such as Rebellion, Stereotypes and Rage.
They came to Rosetta Arts Centre to present their work to the public: a 3-woman strong brass band played each piece, accompanied by the students talking about their work. After the pieces were presented, they had a panel talk to discuss their process and to talk about what it’s like being female in the music industry.
