Ghanian Kente Cloth Workshop | June 3, 11am – 12:30pm at Rosetta Arts
In this workshop you will be exploring the history of Ghanian Kente Cloth and use it to create collages and self portraits which will be made into a tapestry that will be exhibited at Custom House Library. Click here for the event page. Sold Out.
Chinese Silk Painting Workshop | June 10, 10:30am – 1.30pm at Rosetta Arts
In this workshop, you will be exploring the basic technique of silk painting. You will create artwork which will be made into a large tapestry, and then be exhibited at Custom House Library. Click here for the event page. Sold Out.
Newham Heritage Month Patchwork Workshop | June 17, 11am – 2pm at Rosetta Arts
This is one of a series of five workshops where we will be exploring the history and origins of the Pearly Kings and Queens. In this workshop you will be creating a large tapestry from the pieces of Chinese Silk work, Ghanian Kente Clothe, Indian Batik and pieces inspired from the Pearly Kings and Queens. This tapestry will then displayed as a roaming exhibition across Newham. Click here for the event page.
