Are you a practicing artist who is experienced in running workshops, classes or courses for adults or children?
We’re looking for freelance artists, who are ideally based in Newham or wider east London, to join our cohort of artist educators.
Artist educators support the delivery of participatory teaching for the diverse communities we work with. Our pool of artist educators are specialised in their choice of creative practices, supported by a wealth of experience and qualifications.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we’re currently delivering our services online so teaching will take place remotely. Once it’s safe for us to hold activities in person, you will be teaching at the Rosetta Arts centre in Hamilton Road or out in the wider Newham community.
This is a regular call out but we are are currently especially looking for artists that:
- have experience working with children and/or adults with Disabilities
- are experienced in running community art courses online
We would also like to hear from qualified teachers that can teach accredited adult courses (entry level and L1 and L2 awards) in visual arts and photography.
If you’re interested, please contact us with a CV and covering letter at info@rosettaarts.org with the subject line ‘APPLICATION TO BE AN ARTIST EDUCATOR’. Let us know in your message what your availability is.
Pay
Teacher pay rate is £20-22/hour. Assistant pay rate is £12/hour.
Candidates will be interviewed.
