Are you hot on the Newham art scene or a budding artist looking to show the world what you’re made of? Whether you’re established or emerging, if you live or work in Newham you are invited to submit an art work to be curated by Rosetta Arts at the 2019 Newham Show.
We are also looking for four artists to give talks to the public around the work exhibited.
Where will the art works be displayed?
In the arts and culture marquee at the 2019 Newham Show. This takes place in East Ham’s Central Park on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July 2019 from 12 noon till 6pm.
The works will be fixed via plates to art gallery display boards with lighting, so they must be appropriate for this exhibition style.
Will you receive payment if your art work is selected?
Yes we can pay a small fee, but it depends on the size of the piece:
- Small (40cm squared equivalent): £30
- Medium (41cm – 149cm squared equivalent): £40
- Large (150cm squared – 230cm squared equivalent): £50
These fees are inclusive of all costs, such as transportation.
Between one and three pieces may be submitted per person.
What are the deadlines?
- Deadline for submissions: 15 June
- Chosen works will be publicly announced and artists notified: extended to 21 June
- Art work must be delivered to Rosetta Arts at 1 Hamilton Road: No later than 27 June
If your work is chosen, you will need to provide us with the art work for a two-week period. For two of the days, the piece(s) will be in exhibition. The art work will be installed on 12 July and will be taken down on 14 July for pick up at Rosetta Arts on 15 July.

How to apply to give an exhibition talk
We are also looking for four artists to give talks around the art works (a script will be provided but the artist must be experienced in talking to large groups of people).
- Six hours of delivery on either the 13 or 14 July (please specify)
- Fee: £250 a day inclusive
- The speaker would be representing Rosetta Arts.
