What was Rosetta Arts up to in June?

Rosetta Arts does so much more than creative courses. Here are some of the things we got up to and the people we met in June – in Newham and beyond.

  • Kicked off our Be Creative! summer programme with creative sessions in Newham’s youth zones
  • Said goodbye to Arts4Dementia who have been running textile classes with us, and wrapped up the first ARRT term with the Renewal Programme
  • Enjoyed vegetarian treats at our Monthly Munch for the community, which happens on the last Thursday of every month in the Humble Gallery

    • Took a trip up north to attend the Creative People & Places Art of Wellbeing conference and got to know some incredible organisations like Creative Black Country, Impact Hub and mac Birmingham, as well as meeting Arts Council England’s diversity team
    • Took part in a careers networking event at Chobham Academy to inspire students about careers in arts, and community organisations
    • Celebrated the launch of the Fusion Prize, a new challenge from the Culture Mile to find innovative ways to provide the skills of the future to young Londoners. We’re proud to be one of the judges of the prize

  • Learned about community fundraising at the Stour Space with our friends Newham Music, Artsadmin and East London Dance
  • Attended the Visual Arts as a Global Force conference hosted by Slade
  • Met up with Barclays and Pilotlight to get tips on how more employees can benefit from our Mindful Arts programme
  • Talked about the wealth of talent and diversity across east London and how we can ensure we are working together to open up opportunities at the Innovation for All Dinner with UCL

If you would like to talk about opportunities, partnerships and events, feel free to get in touch.
