Free access to ARRT for local residents over the age of 55

The next ARRT programme will start in November 2019. Details will be provided on this page.

Our two-year partnership with The Renewal Programme to deliver ARRT, providing free access to art for local residents over the age of 55, has seen a colourful start.

We have a new joint logo (check it out below), more taster sessions and a full selection of 10-week courses for residents of the area to choose from. Working predominantly with women over 55 years who are local to Manor Park and East Ham, they have been exploring art with a range of art activities.

Based on the feedback we received from participants, we have created more opportunities to try out different art forms alongside a selection of 10 week classes. These are run by the experienced tutors here at Rosetta Arts who are all practicing artists.

So far the feedback has been very encouraging:

My children always said I was rubbish at taking photos, but they couldn’t believe it when I showed them the photos I had taken in the class!

Photography feedback: “I have learnt so many new skills about how to take photos just using my phone!”

Fabric painting feedback: “I really enjoyed this – I feel like a child again.”

Calligraphy feedback: “I feel so relaxed after the class, my mind feels clearer and I’m not so worried.”
