CO1 Community building: Artist Selected & running free workshops

Rosetta Arts are working with Berkeley Homes to commission an artist to create a piece of public art that will be designed and installed on the final glass facade of the CO1 Community building on the eastern wall boundary of the TwelveTrees Park (Stephenson Street) Development. Over 30 artists submitted interest, three were shortlisted and the commissioned artist has been selected: Ian Kirkpatrick.

Rosetta Arts will be hosting a series of free workshops with Ian. We are reaching out to the local community to join us, share ideas, thoughts and produce artwork that will be incorporated into the final design.

The artwork will celebrate the people, activities and stories that intersect at TwelveTrees Park. Created in collaboration with local Newham residents, the artwork will reimagine the site’s past, present and future – from its 19th century industrial roots, to its new role as a nature park, science school, and neighbourhood.

The workshops will be held on Thursday 24th March at 11 – 1pm and Thursday 31st March 11-1pm at Rosetta Arts in Gainsborough Learning Centre.
