Art Superstars Compass

A creative art-based program aimed at destigmatising mental health and promoting understanding of neurodivergent experiences among children. Through portrait-making, 3D art and sensory art techniques, the project empowers children, especially those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), to explore individuality, expression, and difference through visual art.

Art Superstars – Compass addresses the growing need for inclusive creative spaces in schools where children can explore identity, mental health, and neurodiversity. Many children face stigma and misunderstanding surrounding mental health and learning differences. Art provides a universal language that encourages self-expression, empathy, and inclusion.

Where is the Project Based?

The Art Superstars: Compass Project is proudly delivered on-site within our partner schools in East London. We operate directly out of Kaizen Primary School in Plaistow (E13) and Gainsborough Primary School in Stratford (E15). By hosting the program within these educational settings, we ensure a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment where pupils can explore their creativity comfortably

How people can get involved

The Art Superstars: Compass Project is currently designed for specific groups of students at our partner schools. This means the project is not open to the general public, but is available to:

Every child in Year 4 at Kaizen Primary School and Gainsborough Primary School will have the chance to join in.
