Call out: Artist educators for adults and children

Are you a practicing artist that’s experienced in running workshops, classes or courses for adults or children?

We’re looking for freelance artists, who are ideally based in Newham or wider east London, to join our cohort of artist educators.

Artist educators support the delivery of participatory teaching for the communities we work with. Our pool of artist educators are specialised in their choice of creative practices, supported by a wealth of experience and qualifications.

You would be teaching at the Rosetta Arts centre in Hamilton Road or out in the wider Newham community.

This is a regular call out but we are are currently especially looking for for artists that:

  • can lead our hugely popular and now expanding Saturday School for 8-12 year olds: ART STARS!
  • can be the assistant to the leader of the ART STARS Saturday School

OR

  • are qualified teachers that can teach accredited adult courses (entry level and L1 and L2 awards) in the following art forms: painting and drawing, pottery and clay, beginners art (access course)

If you’re interested, please contact us with a CV and covering letter at info@rosettaarts.org with the subject line ‘APPLICATION TO BE AN ARTIST EDUCATOR’. Let us know in your message what your availability is.

Pay

Teacher pay rate is £20-22/hour. Assistant pay rate is £12/hour.

Candidates will be interviewed.
