Mighty Mega Workshops for Children

Led by artist Veronica Rowlands, we coordinated Mighty Mega Workshops that are being held every Saturday throughout January and February at the Discover Story Centre in Stratford.

The series of workshops, designed especially for children with learning difficulties, are inspired by classic story books; Charlie and Lola, pictured here, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Elmer the Elephant, and Floating Boy, by Fabrizio Fiesta.

Through the use of colourful craft materials, children have been expressing their creativity via story-telling, whilst exploring a range of materials, processes and mediums including printmaking, collage, textiles, illustrations, and paints to visualise the tales.

We love these these crawly colourful creatures made of play doh inspired by the classic story Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. You can check out more of the creations on Veronica’s instagram.
