Sensory Photography with Antonia Penia
A mindful photography workshop exploring creativity, observation, and visual storytelling through sensory experiences, at Rosetta Arts in Newham, east London.
Saturday 25 July, 1–4pm · Rosetta Arts, Newham · Free · 20 places
Session overview
Sensory Photography is a three-hour creative workshop that combines mindfulness, observation, and photography. Attendees will begin with a gentle grounding exercise and sensory walk before creating a simple handmade viewfinder to help slow down and look more intentionally.
Through a series of guided photographic prompts inspired by sight, sound, touch, smell, and intuition, you will explore new ways of seeing and engaging with their surroundings. Using smartphones, you will experiment with composition, light, texture, colour, and perspective while focusing on personal expression rather than technical perfection. The workshop concludes with group reflection and image sharing, encouraging creativity, well-being, connection, and confidence in visual storytelling.
