THRIVE

November 2025-November 2027

THRIVE is a two-year Paul Hamlyn Foundation-funded project delivered by Rosetta Arts in partnership with Eko Trust, Contemporary Visual Arts Network London (CVAN London), and Newham Heritage Service.

THRIVE supports Year-5 pupils at Eko Trust schools in Newham to experience visual arts-based Science and History curricula, explore East London’s rich heritage, and understand creative career pathways. The programme will also pioneer a micro-credential system that recognises transferable skills gained through creative practice.

The programme gives children the chance to connect with their local area, work with local artists to learn about Science and History, and experience how creativity can unlock new ways of understanding themselves and the world around them. THRIVE is rooted in inclusion, designed to remove barriers for pupils with SEND, EAL, and those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through multi-sensory, arts-led learning, pupils will build confidence, social connection, and self-expression.The programme will culminate in an annual celebration of the children’s work in the Summer Term.

Teachers will also benefit from artist-led professional development, building confidence in delivering inclusive arts-based learning and embedding creativity across the curriculum.

Artists Dr Sadegh-Sepanta Aleahmad and Tyreis Holder are Lead Artist Facilitators on the programme for 2026, working with the THRIVE partners to co-create and deliver the programme in Eko Trust schools.

Deandra D'Cunha & Christine Chua are Trainee Artist Facilitators for 2026, working alongside the Lead Artist Facilitators and building their knowledge of inclusive facilitation practices.
