About the Course

Looking for creative summer holiday activities for kids in Newham? This August, Rosetta Arts hosts a series of imaginative, hands-on art workshops for children aged 7–12, right here in East London. Held every Saturday afternoon, each session is designed to spark creativity, encourage self-expression and build confidence through making, experimenting and play. Book a single workshop or join us for the full five-week series and give your child a summer filled with creativity, imagination and discovery  close to home, in the heart of Newham.

Each workshop is carefully designed and led by Jade Su-Yun Armstrong, a creative working in alternative education. Jade delivers arts-based education in a range of schools, nurseries and Montessori settings, and has an MA in Applied Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Create your own character and bring it to life through playful puppet-making and storytelling.

8 August | Collage Creations
Cut, layer and combine images and textures to create imaginative artworks full of colour and personality.

15 August | Clay Adventures
Shape, sculpt and mould your ideas into unique 3D creations using air-dry clay.

22 August | Creative Beading
Design and make your own colourful jewellery and decorative keepsakes using beads and thread.

29 August | Magical Masks
Craft a one-of-a-kind mask inspired by characters, creatures and the power of imagination.

Where are the workshops held?
Our kids' art workshops take place at Rosetta Arts, 1 Hamilton Road, London E15 3AE — in Newham, East London, easily reached from Stratford, Maryland and across the borough.
What ages are the workshops for?
The summer workshops are designed for children aged 7–12. No previous experience is needed , every session welcomes complete beginners.
Do you run art activities during the school holidays?
Yes. These workshops run across the summer holidays, on Saturdays throughout August, making them a great creative activity for kids during the break.
Can my child come to just one workshop?
Absolutely. You can book any single workshop for £15, or all five for £60.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
All course and workshop registrations are final. Please note the following conditions:
  • General Policy: We do not offer refunds once a purchase is completed.
  • Accidental Purchases: Refunds are only available for accidental enrollments reported within 48 hours of purchase subject to a processing fee. 
  • Late Requests: No refunds will be issued if the request is made within 14 days of the course start date (e.g., if a course begins on April 14th, the final day for an eligible accidental refund would be March 31st).
  • Once a course or workshop has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued under any circumstances, regardless of attendance or the date of enrollment.
Payment Of Fees
Course fees must be paid at the time of enrolment to secure your place. You can pay online by credit/debit card.

Acceptable Evidence for Possible Fee Reduction
At Rosetta Arts, we aim to make our courses accessible to everyone. We offer reduced fees for individuals receiving certain benefits or those on a low income.
How it Works
Please note that discount levels are not fixed; they vary depending on the specific course or workshop and are subject to change. To find out if a reduction is available for your chosen course, you must contact our administration team before signing up.
How to Apply
To request a reduced fee, please email admin@rosettaarts.org.
In your email, you must include photographic evidence of your eligibility. All evidence must be dated within the last 3 months to be valid.
