Introduction to Lino Printing
Printmaking for Beginners:
Introduction to Lino Printing Course
In Newham | East London
A beginner-friendly course introducing the fundamentals of lino printing through design, carving techniques, inking, colour and layering, at Rosetta Arts
3 weeks | Tuesdays 6:30pm - 8:30pm | £75
Course overview
Join artist Giulia Morabito and discover the joy of lino printing in this relaxed, hands-on three-week course, designed for complete beginners.
Over the three sessions, you'll develop a simple design, learn how to transfer it onto your lino block, and learn how to carve safely with different tools. You'll also learn how to ink up, apply even pressure and make your first print. We'll then experiment with colour, paper and layering, with plenty of one-to-one guidance along the way.
By the end of the course, you'll have designed and carved your own block and have lino prints to take home, so you can keep experimenting and continue on your own.
No experience is needed, and all materials are provided, although you're welcome to bring your own carving tools if you have them.
