Mixed Media Portraiture with Fiona Quadri
A self-portrait workshop exploring identity, belonging and creative expression through collage, drawing, and layered textures, at Rosetta Arts in Newham, east London
Saturday 24 October, 1–4pm · Rosetta Arts, Newham · Free · 18 places
Session overview
Explore self-portraiture through mixed media in this creative hands-on workshop celebrating identity, self-expression, and belonging. Using collage, watercolour, oil pastels, markers, and found textures such as fabric, you will experiment with colour, shape, and layered materials to create a unique portrait inspired by your own features and experiences.
Beginning with a playful drawing exercise, you will discover expressive ways of seeing yourself beyond the idea of a "perfect" portrait. Working from a hand mirror, you will explore composition, colour blending, and intuitive mark-making while reflecting on visibility, representation, and the stories we tell about ourselves.
