Storytelling and Story Crafting
with Allison Parkinson
Saturday 4th July · 1:30–4:30pm · Ages 7–12
Rosetta Art , 1 Hamilton Road , Newham , E15 3AE
About the Workshop
Children's author and illustrator Allison Parkinson (Tiger's Eye Books) runs a storytelling session followed by a story crafting workshop. She reads a chapter from her Laurella Swift series, explains why she wrote it, and shares writing tips, including how everyday objects can prompt story ideas. In the workshop, children write and make their own stories. The session is for children aged 7–12 with an accompanying adult. The session takes place at Rosetta Arts in Newham, East London.
Book stall and free books
Allison has a stall open before and after the session, selling her children's books and her card game, ROAR! The National Literacy Trust has donated children's books, which we will give away free on the day while stocks last.
About Allison Parkinson
