Transforming the Wharfside Underpass
Rosetta Arts were selected by London Borough of Newham to transform the Wharfside underpass; an area of high deprivation and low arts engagement, in the heart of Canning Town.
Nature Inspired Family Workshops supported by Clarion Futures
In 2018 we ran family workshops at Canning Community Neighbourhood hub; inspired from the local ecology park, they were based on the artwork created by Helena Roden for our commission of the Wharfside Art Tunnel
Tandem Europe
Tandem Europe supports experimental collaborations between cultural change makers from the EU member states. It is tailor-made for cultural managers who work on creative solutions that tackle contemporary socio economic challenges.
Newham Word Festival 2017
As part of Newham Word Festival 2017, we worked with Newham based artist Aisha Naim to explore the therapeutic properties of Arabic Calligraphy.
Web
Web was an organically growing sculpture at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, lead by artist David Allies-Curtis, in collaboration with ecology and knot expert Dale Mortiboys.
Collaboration in action: Young Makers + Tandem Europe

Ring of Roses
As a part of Stratford Rising Festival 2013, we were commissioned to create a temporary artistic intervention in Theatre Square, Stratford, over the course of the festival weekend.
Ships in the Night
Ships In The Night explored the local heritage of the shipbuilding company Harland & Wolff and their time at the Royal Docks.
Imagining Identity
Imagining Identity brought together young people from two different communities in London and Tehran to explore ideas around identity and self-image.
Oddguides for the Leaway Regeneration
The arts organisation Create partnered with us to work with a group of our young people and artist Leigh Clarke to create artworks inspired by the River Lea.
Reimagining the Greenways
Working with Plaistow South Big Local, children from Kaizen and Tollgate Primary, we facilitated engagement with 2D design and 3D design.
Designing Taylor Wimpey Hoardings
We worked with Taylor Wimpey, the students of Chobham Academy and artist Veronica Rowlands on a design for hoardings located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Debden House Strategy Day
On 2 August in 2014 a lively mix of staff, learners, supporters, partners and artists who were all closely connected to Rosetta Arts, participated in an away day at Debden House to think about the future of Rosetta.
Evelina Children’s Hospital School
We worked with Evelina London’s Children Hospital to deliver a programme developed to engage patients and young visitors with creative thinking and practical activities.
Gandhi Chaplin Memorial Garden Mosaic
Newham based artist and musician Alan Read created a mosaic in the Gandhi Chaplin Memorial Garden in Canning Town to commemorate the time when Mahatma Gandhi and Charlie Chaplin met when visiting east London.

Swiss based artist Angela Lyn presented a new painting series at Canvas Studios in Shoreditch. The project involved working with students from Rosetta Arts and Studio 3 in Barking, engaging them in a series of workshops connected to the event.
Mass Participatory Pottery Project
The Mass Participation Pottery Project was a cluster of workshops and events held at Chobham Manor housing showroom, Our Living Art at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park in Stratford and at Mobile Garden City.
Imaginings at Canning Town
Sixty children and young people between the ages of 9 and 14 years old from Grange Primary School, St Lukes, Star Lane Primary and Rokeby School, learnt about the history of Canning Town and the changes that are happening there, sharing and exchanging ideas about their local environment.
Newham Visual Artists Network
Newham Visual Artists Network (NVAN) was initiated by Rosetta Arts to address a gap in the opportunities made available for visual artists in the borough.
Summer School at Coborn Centre for Adolescent Mental Health in 2015
We designed and delivered a range of creative workshops to patients at The Coburn Centre for Adolescent Mental Health, an in-patient service for young people with complex and severe mental health difficulties.
Art in Mind at the Hibiscus Community Centre
In 2010 we were approached to deliver a series of summer workshops over 10 weeks to engage the service users at the Hibiscus Community Centre in art activities for health & well-being.
Art in Mind at Vicarage Lane
At the Mind Cafe on Vicarage Lane in Newham, artistic practitioner Ravinder Atwal worked with a group of elderly people who frequented the cafe as part of their daily health and wellness routines, some of whom were in early stage of dementia.
East End Art Trail
The East End Art Trail EEAT was developed to share values embodied by Rosetta Arts to the broader public which include: providing quality art exhibitions, education and support to the local community.
Rosetta Windows Gallery at Rathbone Place
As a community-facing gallery set up as part of Rosetta Rathbone Art Studios, Rosetta Windows encouraged members of the public to interact with artworks without having to cross a threshold or walk in to a formally designated art venue.
Artlympics for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
The Artlympics was a series of five specially designed programmes across the Spring and Summer of 2012 where people from local communities could participate in fun, creative activities and mini-events such as a 60-second drawing sprint and painting relay.
Rathbone Art Studios & Artists in Residence
26B Rathbone Market was a shop unit earmarked for demolition to make way for a new housing development During an interim period designated by contractors John SISK & Son, the unit was transformed into a temporary creative community hub which became known as Rosetta Rathbone Art Studios or RRAS.
Oasis Academy at Britannia School and Rosetta Arts
Between 2014 - 2015, Oasis Silvertown School did not have a permanent premises and approached us to develop and deliver their art curriculum for students of Year 7 and in the second year to Year 7 and 8 students.

The Young Newham Artists (YNA) programme was initiated by us to accommodate a specific gap in the provision of visual arts activities for young people aged 16-19 years, with a focus on those young people not in education, employment or training
Biodiversity and Technology with Mooch + Peter Dunn
This project brought together two artists, Mooch and Peter Dunn, to develop their research through around themes of Biodiversity and Technology, Mooch Design (also known as Mooch) primarily focussed on biodiversity and Peter Dunn on technology with a project entitled FFAST Track. The research and development was kindly funded by The Arts Council.
Holocaust Memorial Day event 2019
In 2019, to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2019 and 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz Birkenau and 25 years since the genocide in Bosnia, Rosetta Arts teamed up with the London Borough of Newham for a special commemorative event.
London Blossom Garden community consultations
In October 2020, Rosetta Arts collaborated with four socially engaged local artists to deliver a varied programme of community consultations for a memorial to honour Londoners affected by Covid-19
